Merry Christmas to one and all.

What are the MODOT Roadside vehicles on Air Radio IDs designated ( it Vehicle is 10234, etc).

From I am hearing the DSNs are for the Operators of the vehicles. Except the ones for dispatch.

Please help and thanks

The IDs for MODOT Motorist Assist (Emergency Response) vehicles are 9600 series numbers in St. Louis. I'm not sure if the specific number are for particular people or routes.

In general the MODOT radio unit numbering is as follows:

First digit indicates District (D)
D100 series - Administration
D200 series - Maintenance
D300 series - Design
D400 senes - Materials
D500 series - Construction
D600 series - Construction
D700 series - Engineering/Signals/Striping
D800 series - District Garage
D900 series - Emergency Response Vehicles

Here in the Kansas City area, the MODOT Motorist Assist trucks use 4900-series numbers on air. I have noted as low as 4900 and as high as 4907, but the range may be higher than that.

Their radio IDs are in the 1030xxx, 1033xxx, and 4480xxx ranges, on the KC-area MARRS system. The dispatcher is in 4480xxx, and the trucks show up in all three ranges. These IDs are never announced on air, but they are transmitted digitally from every radio, and many (most/all?) scanners will display them.

Papagei have you tried ID down to the vehicle ? Since the operator may use a different vehicle and use his DSN on the other vehicle. \

Either way, would like copy of them and any MOSWIN UIDs (RIDs) and/or Recordings from any #36HPS, or SDS #s

Thanks a bunch. 73 for now.

I have not.

I can say that I haven't noted multiple on-air vehicle numbers for any MODOT radio ID. That would make sense for the truck-mounted radios. It *might* make sense for the hand-held radios, if every driver has a hand-held, and they always get assigned to the same truck. I'm not sure if that's the case though.

The MODOT radio traffic volume is relatively light, compared to police, fire, etc, so there may be some possible combinations I just haven't heard yet.

The roadside assistance or motorist assist vehicles are now called Emergency Response Trucks. So they are the same thing. The radio numbering is the same. Although, you might here the St. Louis units truncate their IDs on the radio to three digits (ie. "926" or "918", instead of "6926" or "6918").
