MLA30/MLA30+ recommendations

I see a lot of discussion about the MLA30+ loop and may decide to buy one to try out. There are hundreds of sellers on eBay and AliExpress and elsewhere offering them mostly using identical photos in their ads. Is there a particular brand out there that folks would recommend or are they all the same Chinese made knock offs? Also, is there much to be gained (no pun intended) from buying the MLA 30 Plus rather than the slightly cheaper MLA 30 version?
