That's for 6 and 2 meters, way too long, it'll work, but not like something designed for the frequencies you want it for. It will work great for VHF and pretty fair on UHF, but 800 will belacking. I use the Larsen NMO-150/450/800 mobile and have good results throughout the spectrum, low band thru 800. Of course it's not super on low band but works, there is little on low band in the Boston area these days. Mine does what i want it for, hooked up to either a PRO-97 or PRO-2055. I listen to just about all the spectrum covered by these scanners. I also use a Larsen NMO-2/70 both at home an on the road which does very nicely, even allows some 800 reception. Being near Boston, this area has State Police and several 800 trunked systems, and it hears them okay, too.
