I have a BCD996p2 mobile in agency car and have always used the stubbies from the agency. Recently purchased Motorola
3 dB Elevated Feed Antenna, 764–870 MHz
ITEM #: HAF4014A

and not getting the same traffic, noticably reduced. Listening to local public safety, state and county/city.

any thoughts on this performance or recommendations on best mobile Antenna? NMO Mount

It would help to know what frequency ranges you are trying to monitor.
