Mobile Antenna Suggestions

I purchased an Opek AM800 window mount antenna adaptor and I am looking for suggestions on what type of antenna to use with this type of mount. They suggest the stock rubber duck antenna, however, I was wondering what would be recommended for something better. Use area will be both a mix of analog and digital.

What is the antenna base, NMO, BNC? That would help.

I would only use a rubber duck antenna on this mount, since it not really strong enough to support any other antennas.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I got it yesterday but I haven’t opened it yet. I don’t know anything about the brand, but it looks like they make nice stuff. I guess if a rubber duck is all that I should and can use that’s the trade off for not using a permanent antenna but it’s my only option since I lease.

MFJ makes something similar for an HT antenna and it handles 10 watts TX. I’m thinking of getting one of those for my HT.
