Mobile City & County Digital Update.

Hey all... Talked to a neighbor of mine yesterday and he tells me that the new radio system is up and running for the most part. City agencies will start switching over to the new Pro-Voice digital system in September. The Police and Fire Departments will be the last to switch over; that will occur during January of next year.

The County is also preparing to switch over to Pro-Voice. They are currently swapping out their radios and should have that done by the first of the new year as well.

It won't be long now. <sigh>

I hope so: But my source is pretty certain that they are going to go all digital on all talkgroups. I am going to try and develope another source next week and see if I can gather up some more info.
