I have been using my Pro-106 in GA for about 2 months now and have the two mobile extender frequencies programmed in. But I still have never picked any GSP up, do they still use these frequencies. Or have they went totally over to digital radio's.

Yes... both frequencies are in use but you must be within a few miles to hear the signal.

Last trip I took to the Atlanta Motor Speedway in March, both channels were extremely active, but then again, two weeks a year, Hampton has the heaviest concentration of GSP units than anywhere else in the state!

GSP in the Metro Atlanta area is indeed on the Atlanta P25 system. On very rare occasions, you can hear them pop up on the Cobb P25 system.

Most of the Metro Atlanta GSP units have almost everyone's TRS programmed in their radios so they can have something called interoperability! Imagine that!
