Mobile Mounting Options

I want to install my I-7000 in the car. I have an aversion to drilling holes in the vehicle for a pedestal mount. I searched the Internet for mobile pedestals which use the existing seat bolts. I located some for I-phones (which may be too light); and Laptops (which are to "robust').

Like Goldilocks, looking for something "just right". Anyone come across a supplier? Perhaps the market isn't there.

Or should I just get the drill?

1) There is no such thing as "too robust," especially if you get into an accident.

2) Make sure your car actually has accessible seat bolts. Newer (2000 and later) cars might not.

Agreed. And if you think the mobile mount is in fact too robust, you now have an excuse to hang another radio on it.

That is, if you really need an excuse....
