Antenna Suggestion

Well with 48 views and no replies, I figured I would change the title & reword the question.
I'm looking to replace the original "Rubber Duck" that came with my RS Pro-97....Thanks for any suggestions.

If you monitor a wide range of bands, check out the AUSTIN CONDOR...I had one several years agod and it made a big difference, but it is a 12 inch monster.

The $17 RS works well at VHF and UHF although it's stated to be designed for 800 MHz. Works well for me across all ranges. Another $0.02.

Q: What's the difference between a duck?
A: One leg is each the same.

In other words you can put any number of antennas on a portable but a duck is a duck is a duck. Yeah, that monster isn't a duck, it's a Ccondor and a condor is a raptor. Sharpen it and it's a rapier. EN GUARDE! (I just love that recurring theme music behind Errol Flynn.)
