Hi folks,

I know the Florida laws state you can use a scanner mobile with a FCC Ham license, but what if you have a CEPT Class 1 European license?

The license has reciprocal arrangements for Ham Radio use within the US so would this allow scanner use mobile?

TIA

If I had to guess, I would say no. The law states a ham radio license issued by the FCC, yours isn't issued by the FCC, you just have an agreement to use the Ham Radio freqs in the United States, nothing more.

Just don't be obvious and you most likely won't be bothered if you do choose to bring a scanner.

I second that, the because the law states "This section shall not apply to any holder of a valid amateur radio operator or station license issued by the Federal Communications Commission."

I'm not going to tell you to use one in the car illegally, but I don't see you having problems unless you don't follow traffic laws well or hold it up high enough to be seen by everyone.
