Mobile surge protection/electrical interference

I've got all sorts of things that use the battery on my truck (multiple radios, inverter, airhorn, strobes, etc). Is there anything that I should do in terms of surge protection? I know that if the inverter is on I hear a bit of buzzing over the airhorn speaker. Any thoughts?

All of these mobile devices are designed with internal surge protection. However, I like to keep these devices turned off until after I start the vehicle thus avoiding the power surge transient.

I typically do leave everything off until the engine of the car is on. However, even if the engine is on, I find some of the electronics interfere with each other... and the inverter is wired via a separate cable to the battery.
