There is a two channel UHF conventional NexEdge system licensed to Mobiletech Communications at the Syracuse airport. Callsign is WQZT966 and while its licensed as trunking, it appears to be conventional operations. I'm unable to determine who the users are but they are definitely some sort of airport operations. Frequencies are 451.6250 and 452.6000.

If I had to venture a guess I would guess Airfield maintenance. Syr uses a contractor for airfield maintenance and I think it's a new one. Seems likely that operations like that would be on a leased radios. Might be able to figure it out with tonight's snow, Happy listening.

I 'm think it's not airfield maintenance. The transmissions refer to moving cars at the terminal and people moving through the terminal, baggage moving on the belt and I've even heard transmissions referencing the indicator lights on the body scanners. Definitely not TSA but some other sort of airport operations. If it weren't for the body scanner messages I'd almost say some sort of porter service.

Upon further research I'm fairly confident what I'm hearing is SP Plus, the contractor at the airport for everything I've described hearing. Their company services at www.spplus.com lists everything I've heard. And, they are using 452.6000 in NXDN mode. Appears to be RAN 1. I'll be submitting to the database.
