It's a 10K resistor. If it doesn't work, you installed the resistor in the wrong place. You have to look very closely at the photo to determine the correct solder pads for the resistor. I did two of them. I did some tests and found that the noise blanker does not increase distortion with simulcast issues. Since my speakers are mounted inside the dashboard of my vehicle and are difficult to access, I hardwired the noise blanker on and replaced the volume control with resistors after doing level tests. That will remove the possibility of a noisy volume control or intermittent switch.
