Just thought I would pass this along...I have heard Mohegan Tribal Dispatch on two seperate occasions come up on Troop E's talkgroup for a radiocheck. The only other agencies I knew of on the csp system was the dmv & possibly dep. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else around the state has heard other agencies showing up on the csp system?

you can check the csp trunked radio section but other than that i would probably be safe to say they were probably setting up a radio for coordination between them and the troop and troopers. mohegan does have capability to talk to other departments also and probably for the same purpose. youll also find that alot of departments have more than one radio set aside besides their own just for the purpose of coordination such as troop d with plainfield pd, mohegan with norwich fire and so on. just coordination purposes. if i happen to hear anything i will post it up that night. i monitor csp 12 hours or more a day.

Actually that would be odd because it was on Troop E's TG.
All PSAPs have access into the CSP system but only through SPAN. They can also use non trunked channels but for a non CSP PD to use a troop TG is different.
One possibility is that there may be poor reception within the facility and using the casino radio system for access for CSP personnel assigned there.

The only other one I have heard is the Nuclear Power Plant in Haddam does a Radio Check with Troop K at about Midnight each night on Troop K's regular channel.
