Is the Uniden 325P2 capable of being programmed for AFRRCS monitoring and if so whats the best way to start?

I have an XLT125 & 325P2 but as of now they are pretty silent even though I have them both programmed for local radio Edmonton/Wabamum/Stony Plain/Devon/ from the RR List with the CCTCS settings and input frequencies.

I would love to have an SDS 100 but am loathe to spend the $'s with not very much unencrypted comms left. I have an SDR but need a better antenna and some more software before it will be truly useful.

Any help with the 325P setting me up to monitor local Edmonton and Westward to Jasper would be appreciated.

AFRRCS does not use CTCSS, if you mean the VHF RCMP frequencies are quiet, then yes, I believe those areas have moved to encrypted talkgroups on AFRRCS. There is no scanner capable of decrypting encrypted communications.

The 325P2 is capable of scanning AFRRCS as far as I know but I do not have one, so can’t help you with programming it.
