First I have my EXCEL dB set up this way:
USER: FAA
LOCATION: RCAG XXXX
FUNCTION: SECTOR XXXX

Now look at your dB and do you see any blocks of freqs used by the FAA. I'm going to use a block from my dB.

As has been mentioned before, the ATA100 listings the database downloads are of questionable value. If available, stick with the listings that follow it. If there's nothing in your area, I'd jump to your state's forum, and check to see if there's a web page or Yahoo group that covers what you need. There's a cross ref of web pages and yahoo groups, indexed by region and state, in the wiki.

We all agree ATA 100 is just about useless!

Here is the example I didn't post when I started this thread. I tried to edit my post and failed.

306.900 FAA Miami CTR
306.925 FAA WHITING OLF
306.950 FAA FT MEYERS
306.975 FAA MIAMI IAP
307.000 FAA ORLANDO IAP
307.025 XXX
307.050 FAA Jacksonville CTR
307.075 XXX
307.100 FAA MIAMI CTR
307.125 FAA HUNTER AAF GA
307.150 XXX
307.175 FAA TAMPA IAP
307.200 FAA JACKSONVILLE CTR
307.225 XXX
307.250 FAA JACKSONVILLE CTR
307.275 XXX
307.300 FAA MIAMI CTR
307.325 XXX

I'm willing to bet you a dollar to a doughnut my XXX are FAA freqs.
Before DOD switched to the 25mHz split the same was true but there were block's that were USED by the USAF,USN/USMC and Army. I don't see this now since the new split.

You are wrong if you think 307.125 is and Army freq, it's an FAA freq used by the Army for Ground Control Approach.

There are over 450 freqs USED by the FAA nationwide.

Start thinking USER, LOCATION then FUNCTION.

I have an EMPTY 225-400 program using the 25mHz split. I will send you a copy, just ask. Because of the new LMR freqs 380.0-399.975 you have to fill in the blanks.

When I decided to change my dB to show the 25mHz split, I started typing 225.0,225.125,225.150,225.175. and thought crap this will take me forever. Buddy who is a programmer wrote me a program setting up 225-400 in about 15 minute's. ;-)
It will take you awhile to set up and proof read your new file, but in the long run it's more than worth the time and trouble.

TINEAR jump in if I have missed something!!! ;-))

Database

I may well be missing something, in which case ignore this altogether.
I believe I understand that you're compiling a database in EXCEL.
Excel has a "fill" function with which you can enter start, end, and interval values and it will provide your formatted frequency column
in about 0.5 seconds.
