Hello:

I have a Pro 396 and used ARC396PRO for programming. In the past, I could pick up both D.C. Fire and Police just fine. However, I updated the software a while back and it no longer picks up fire. Police works fine but, when I try to tune in a fire talk group, it displays an MPD channel at the bottom i.e. 460.500 as the control channel. Also tried downloading each system separately i.e. fire, then police, but no dice. Is it my scanner? A change in the trunked system itself? The ARC396 upgrade? Please advise.

This is not enough information to really tell. I can say that none of DCFD's prorgamming... control channels, 800 MHz standard, etc, has changed.

Dewey: basically, I downloaded the Motorola Type II Smart Zone system into my Pro396 using the ARC 396 program. When it scans, it does not display or pick up any fire control channels, only police i.e. if I turn to the DCFD dispatch talk group, the scanner displays a police control channel at the bottom (460.100 for example). No 800 frequency display whatsoever or fire audio. Do I need to reset something in the scanner? It works fine on my BC 296 as I have the systems in two different banks.
