Monitoring since 1982, using radios since 1991.
LifeLine is now much more interesting to monitor if you have DMR capabilities. LifeLine Center now operates on the ERS TRS, SAFE-T, and conventional VHF. Depending on where you are, it can be challenging to monitor them. In Indy Metro, and several other areas, you can hear them tone out and dispatch on the VHF, where in other areas you need DMR capability to monitor them on the ERS TRS. But once airborne, you can catch them on the SAFE-T on Flight Watch, and the Mutual Aid TG's coordinating LZ Ops. As for the Ground Units, They are mainly on the ERS system after tone out/dispatch on VHF except for local ops on SAFE-T, The IDPS TRS, or HEAR freqs.
