LifeLine is now much more interesting to monitor if you have DMR capabilities. LifeLine Center now operates on the ERS TRS, SAFE-T, and conventional VHF. Depending on where you are, it can be challenging to monitor them. In Indy Metro, and several other areas, you can hear them tone out and dispatch on the VHF, where in other areas you need DMR capability to monitor them on the ERS TRS. But once airborne, you can catch them on the SAFE-T on Flight Watch, and the Mutual Aid TG's coordinating LZ Ops. As for the Ground Units, They are mainly on the ERS system after tone out/dispatch on VHF except for local ops on SAFE-T, The IDPS TRS, or HEAR freqs.

Methodist Center now has there radio traffic patched on 155.160. When you hear G-16 and others dispatched out for a run. This is their ground transports going to other hospitals for NICU transports.

The G Units are IU Health LifeLine Ground. They are all ALS MICU's (Mobile Intensive Care Units). The helo's are identified as LifeLine 1, 2, 3, 4, Samaritan XX etc, or the other PHI ones as Rotor 10, etc... Check out the primary IU Health LifeLine website. It lists the 2 L1TC's (Level 1 Trauma Center) and the affiliated Med Centers here in Indy... IU Health Methodist - L1TC, IU Health Riley - Pediatric L1TC/NICU. IU Health University, and the IU Medical Schools.

St Vincent and Eskanazi are also Level 1 Trauma centers.

Yes, but they are not IU Health facilities. The primary L1TC's that are the ones IU Health LifeLine is affiliated with are Methodist, and Riley, which are both IU Health facilities. They will fly and run to and from those others, but the push will always be to go to an IU Health affiliated facility. Though Eskanazi Health does have an good working arrangement with IU Health, and many of its physicians are IUH Docs, Eskanazi is not an IUH facility.

Pretty obvious since they arent affiliated with IU health. Just making the point they arent the only ones in Indy. Thanks for the condescending attitude in your reply.

On the DMR Lifeline Center Ch you hear a lot of things you don't hear on other channels as well.
The DB does need some fixing though as Lifeline is not fire but EMS it should be listed as such.

It's part of the ERS regional system. Add the sites you can receive. It's a trunked system so you use that.

Also, Dispatch2323, you have to have the DMR Upgrade Key. You have to program it manually as its MTRBO and no software will work with that yet on 536/436

Still using the VHF at Methodist Base for Helo ops when in close to Indy, and all other Ops are on ERS-OCI TRBOConnect UHF TRS. They also use the SAFE-T for interop and the Flight Watch TG.

Ok, Lifeline in TH is still using their VHF on 158.295, however, I have now noticed (started a few weeks ago) traffic from across the state on their VHF simplex freq... Anyone know what has changed...maybe they are simulcasting their DMR on simplex also is my best guess... I don't want to assume they added a repeater cause that still wouldn't explain Lafayette and Indianapolis traffic (aircraft) this far away...

Who has the scoop???? :)

They are indeed sometimes using a patch from the ERS-OCI TRBOconnect system to the VHF, and now sometimes use telephone interconnect on it. They have also done some new experiments with patching things to the IU Health statewide IP Site Connect system being installed at ALL IU Health facilities. ERS-OCI Wireless has that lucrative contract.

Confirmed, IU Health LifeLine on ERS-OCI TRBOConnect is full time E on ALL TGs. VHF is still Analog and clear, though that might be changing if the rumor of going to data only paging and going to IHERN, SAFE-T, and such for Helo and Ambulance to ER Comms is on spot.

Well well well... After 3 months of pure E on all TG on ERS, as of yesterday the three Dispatch ones went clear again. Hopefully they stay that way.
