Monitoring military aircraft in south Florida

I live near homestead air force base in south Florida n wanted advise on monitoring military aircraft........refueling/ fly overs at sporting events/ training stuff...I imagine anything else would be encrypted
something portable n easy to program.....for a beginner
just caught a bug for what i think would be interesting after seeing two jets flying in a close formation

Have you monitored them before...? (HAB)
I’m looking to hear exercises n imagine it’s the same frequency .....would not vary area to area.....specially in the same state....
If so, is there a particular frequency you’ve heard good comms on?
