Monitoring Of Sudbury PD ? And, On Mode Switching ?

Hello,

New SDS 200 scanner.
Trying to learn how to use it, etc.

a. Would like to monitor my Sudbury (Middlesex/MA) PD.
I understand that it is "sometimes" encrypted.

I have these from the RR Database (see below):

Are there any other frequencies for the PD, that I should perhaps be looking at also ?
For the FD ?

b. Sure is a lot to know.
Might I also ask this, please:

I understand that the scanner "automatically" switches modes to use as it is scanning, e.g. a FL,
without any intervention.

Does it know which mode to use via what is entered as information, or does it pick it up from the broadcast directly ?

last time I was there., FD was good., don't remember if PD was encrypted., I think not!

Was listening to Sudbury PD today, they were P25 not encrypted.
