Ive recently received the radios (Whistler TRX-1/Whistler WS1025) in the photo as gifts for bday & christmas and requested programming of fulton cty/City of atlanta public safety (Which wasnt programmed correctly) and upon receiving the scanner i downloaded fulton cty & city of atlanta systems and loaded them into the scanner but ive been unable to successfully hear atlanta, dekalb, fulton counties as they are P25 in the 800MHz band. But i can hear douglas cty publics safety on VHF DMR all the way in forest park indoors on the stock rubber duck antenna. Is it due to the 800MHz band being short range or am i missing something? Im a ham radio operator with limited knowledge of this and never claimed to know it all but will say im still learning. NOTE: Forest Park fire dept is only monitorable agency inside of clayton county. SEE ATTACHED PHOTO
