BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Monitoring Software

I normally use RH-536HP mkii software on my PC to monitor my 536HP scanner via WiFi Dongle. Currently my 536hp is at Uniden for repairs. I would like the connect my 436hp to my PC via the usb cable and monitor using the same software. Is this possible. For some reason I cannot get the software to communicate or recognize the scanner.

I don't have any experience with it, but on the WiKi page, the RH-536HP utility is listed under "BCD536HP Only".

I believe when I used that program there was a serial port option so if you select that option and select the right com port it should work
