monitoring the ontario apco25 system with a pro96 ----HELP

i have a new pro96 that is as far as i can tell setup correctly, yet switches to voice channels in the 138 to 139 mhz range when a transmission is detected...

i have a 250d with me and the 96 is picking up the correct mot' id's just switching to the wrong channels

Check out pg 36 of your manual under "programming 800 MHz splinter systems", this also applies to your specific VHF system. Follow instructions and on step 5 choose "table" and press enter. This should solve your problem.

its working now, thanks to all for the help provided via pm or post.

it was the 'table' option that was required, the manual is sorely lacking in many regards, and actually at one point suggests 'table' only effects 800mhz systems, which is what threw me off track.

at any rate, once programmed, and side by side with my 250d its actually very impressive. Audio quality on vhf apco 25 is outstanding even with weak signals, and the control channel only trunking is fantastic. Overall, very impressed with this radio, and im a die hard uniden/icom fan.

Dave, I feel your pain on the issue of the manual ie. tables, I was at a loss for what I was doing wrong but thanks to good folks on boards like this, the mystery was solved - enjoy your 96.

hmmmm, seems like Peteman has got the Pro96 features and use down pat now for his travels across the country. Great to hear that it is working out for you with the V folder set ups. I figured that it would be perfect for people like Professional Truckers , etc travelling all over the country.
