Way out there...
Greetings all,
I will be traveling thru the Great State of Tennessee about mid April from Bristol to Memphis, going to Texas. I have researched the frequencies in the RR database, but could not find any info about THP unit numbering and was wondering if someone knerw and would explain it. Do they go by badge numbers, like here in Virginia, or like that of the NC Highway Patrol and based on the units assignment and or location? I plan on monitoring THP, TDoT, and probably forestry, as well as 2 meters.
Thanks for any replies and any additional frequencies provided.

Scannerfood.com I got a good listing of "everything" in Southwest VA nad a good but of NE TN
http://scannerfood.com/files/Public Safety/RadioPhoneBook2009.xls
and here is a listing of the THP structure http://www.scannerfood.com/files/SVUNITNUMBERS/units-sf-08-03-06.doc

I didnt even realize I had those :) lemme know if you need anything in particular, BTW From Wythe County to the TN line Id recommend < 74MPH (Less than 10 over, 5 over in sparse traffic) , theres Wythe County, and Washington County deputies covering 81 pretty well, VSP is very saturated in the area too, there everywhere! Get to TN, you may see 1 every 50 to 100 miles.
