I'll be passing thru Ga. in the next few weeks along I-75. I checked the database, but don't see much listed for the Highway patrol. Are the database freq's for GHP still ok? or is there something better?

thanks,

Generally speaking, the GSP operates on a duplex system, i.e., the dispatcher operates on 154.680 and the mobiles transmit on 154.800. The primary exception to this is in Atlanta where the troopers operate on the City of Atlanta TRS with occasional traffic heard on 155.910.

Do you have a map showing counties??? If not, I can list from north to south along I-75 or email you a word doc w/ map pasted.

** Also check www.scanatlanta.com ** Great site too.

Take care,
Julian

Jeff,

Let us know what else you'll need on the trip down....watch your speed in Dooly County.

I've got p96 files (Pro-96) for most of I-75, if you can use them.

73 and safe travels,

thanks everyone

Looks like my trip will be delayed a little, which will give me a little more time to prepare. My initial impression was that for as large of a state as Ga., there didn't seem to be very many freqs listed for GHP. Thinking back though, Indiana had about the same # before going to the Moto system.

I went thru and looked up the counties and system types along I-75 yesterday. I "plan" on setting up my 996 for the trip and using the gps to lock/unlock sites. I was kind of surprised by the number of individual county trunked systems in Ga. I doubt I'd be going to this much trouble if it weren't for this site and the arc996 software.

Thanks again,

When you say "GHP" . You probably mean Georgia state patrol" ..
154.680 base to base..
154.800 car to car

State inter sytem network, includes state patrol and sheriff and other local law enforcement. .

154.935 base
154.905 car

Metro Atlanta also has a frequency set aside for state patrol communications.it's been so long,I don't recall what is is now.
