Is Monmouth County fire staying on the VHF or moving to the 700 system for county

Last I heard, most want to stay on VHF, though the 700 system is ready to go for the FDs. Maybe grants/free radios will turn some heads, like they did with the EMS units?

Several towns have gone for a regional grant for at least the last 3 years to go over to the TRS but have not gotten it.

But a first aid squad got the grant for dualband radios???

Makes my head shake...
