251 is the former METS1 (near Union Hospital)
252 is the former METS2 (Hillside/Irvington)
254 is the former Medic 4 (St. Barnabas)
255 is the former Medic 5 (St. Barnabas) but I believe it is a 12-hour unit as opposed to a special events unit.
256 (Belleville) and 257 (Kearny) may or may not still be fully in-service. See http://www.monoc.org/executive.cfm?IsArch=42

Here's the scoop on 256 and 257.

256 Post is located on the Newark / Bloomfield Boarder - Newark NJ

257 Post the former West Hudson Hospital - Bergen Avenue - Kearny NJ

256 was to go out of service beginning of the New Year but the St Barnabas HealthCare system has funded 256 for another 6 months but MONOC takes 256 out of service 7pm to 11pm each evening and has 257 re post @ 256 quarters. Now to fill in for the 256 unit since it is a CN truck MONOC puts a roving SCTU unit in the area which is staff by 1 medic and a nurse when 256 is taken out of service at night. If it sounds complicated it's because we in operational EMS still try to keep up with the developments of MONOC
on a daily bases.
