MONOC Dissolved 4/1/2020

Just saw the news that MONOC will be dissolving on 4/1/2020. RWJ and HMH will assume ALS duties for their member hospitals. RWJ will provide an MICU to CentraState Medical Center. Unknown what will happen to comms. Ill post more when i know more

We all need to watch and monitor what happens to the MONOC frequencies and NJICS Talk-Groups on whether or not they will be discontinued, reallocated and / or will former MONOC ALS/BLS be dispatched, response and operations be using frequencies and NJICS Talkgoups currently allocated to RWJBH & Hackensack-Meridian. ???

anyone know how ALS will be dispatched and by who when Hackensack Meridian ,Barnabas Health take over ALS ?

I can only speak for the North Arlington Area, RWJ will retain the two ALS units (256) Belleville and (257) North Arlington. HUMC will continue to provide back up, Passaic, (MONOC 258) will be replaced by a Hackensack ALS Unit, Dispatch Center for the 256 and 257 units will be Med-Central, however, they will have of course a new radio ID number, guessing here, 3 Alpha 6 and 3 Alpha 7? - in the coming weeks will know the landscape of the set as we get closer to April 1st. I am also receiving what I believe are patches of the UHF T-Band system from the EMS Zones and Fire Zones onto the new system. I'm quite a distance away in Camden County but I'll have to hone in and try and capture some radio IDs to make sure it is a patch. As subscriber radios populate this system, it is possible that RWJ Units may have a talkgroup (like Camden and Burlington Counties do with Virtua Medics and Atlantic and Cape May Counties do with the AtlantiCare units) but considering the current system does not, I don't know if the new 700 system will.

That’s correct,some towns are getting their new EMS radios and are affiliating to the new system. No new fire radios seen yet as the patches are mostly from the radio techs affiliating. See wiki for the radio IDs:

RWJ medics are going to be dispatched by MedCentral and HMH medics are being dispatched by JFK Medical Center in Edison, the new base for HMH southern operations.

Monmouth and Ocean County Medics assignments will be given out
on NJICS 700 Mhz talkgroup 4735.

Life Flight goes to Talkgroup 4583 or 4585.
They will be doing flight following on Life Flight as soon
as their dispatchers get trained.

Ocean County Medic Unit assignments.

I picked up JFK radio 3100050 affiliating to the Ocean County 700 MHz system last week on TG 5152.

Just a FYI these assignments are for RWJ units only,I would monitor JFK’s TG also to get the remaining Monmouth units.
