I hear the helicopter on Ch. 9, 10, and 11.

BTW: Back when the helicopter was going on test flights, Control told them to switch to "the MedEvac frequency". The helicopter would always respond back saying that they don't have that channel. They haven't mentioned it recently.

Yet another virtually useless post. Thank G-D I'm not a moderator...

Damn it, Joe, I would have thought by now that you would have gotten the hint. But, has evidenced above, apparently not. I like you, I see potential in you; but, it the risk of coming off looking like an a-hole...I am going to take a moment and spell some things out in no uncertain terms.

Click here for what I've got in my channels 9, 10, and 11. http://www.twcnyc.com/downloads/chlineupMV.pdf Somehow, I get the sense that you aren't talking about WWOR, WFUT, and WPIX. What are you talking about? Channels 9, 10, and 11 in your personal scanner? Listen, I know to some I am going to come off looking like a jerk off, but what I am about to say needs to be said once in a while, and you are not the only one that needs to hear this advise; so I am going to do this publically in the hope that some of the other youngsters here will see themselves in what I am about to say and take some notes...

i) READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. What the hell is the big rush to get a post up? ? ? Or is your motivation simply to drive your count higher? If you are going to post an answer, take a moment to read the question first. Read it again. Does this sound familair at all? Are teachers in your college always telling you to do the same thing? Mine did. There's a reason why. mondaro, asked for FREQUENCIES. Using the example above, do you know the FREQUENCY for channel 9? How about sharing it with us. Throw in a PL/DPL, if you know it. Do the same thing for Channel 10. And 11. You get what I am talking about, right?

2) DETAILS. What are you hearing on Channel 9? The pages/dispatches? Are they then switching to Channel 10 for Operations? Then going to 11 for talkaround? Again, what is the rush? I am not looking for you to write a college blue book for an answer, and lord knows my spelling can suck (although I try to post a readable answer). Have you listened in to "channel 9, 10, and 11" for a bit? Share with us what you are hearing; a little color-commentary, if you will - it makes boring lists of frequencies interesting. Slow down a little. It's okay for a post to go unanswered for a day, a week, a month, or however long it takes for someone to see it, research it, and post a full, complete, correct answer. If it were my post I'd rather wait a couple of days and get the right answer then see a reply 17 minutes later that leaves me asking even more questions and not answering any.

C) This is directed to those who I know are going to feel the urgent need to rise up in defense of piss-poor quality posting. Take a deep breath, exhale, and don't waste everybody's bandwidth with adding more posts to this thread and steering it away from the two basic questions that got asked. PM me with whatever you think might be a VALID reason for posting half-assed, incomplete answers to questions. If, in the off chance, that you can come up with one, I will admit that, yes, I was wrong and it is okay to take up the all our fellow member's time here to scroll past posts that mean nothing. Otherwise, I'll delete your PM and save the board, and the internet, valuable bandwidth for more useful things.

Ending the public spanking,

Hi Joe...

Can you share the channel you also heard medevac 1 from MONOC ?
Is it MONOC Med 9 and 10 with PL tones of 210.9 and is Channel 11
the Bayshore tower in Monmouth County in your scanner.

Also what channels if any did you hear them out on standby or a go
request of fly as some people would call it.

Thanks Joe

461.8000 - MONOC Channel 11 (Multicast of Channels 9 and 10 for Northern Monmouth County and Southern Ocean County) - PL 210.7 Hz
451.4750 - MONOC North (Used North of the Driscoll Bridge) - PL 210.7 Hz
502.0875 - MONOC Tac-1 - DPL 412
501.3875 - MONOC Tac-2 - DPL 412
501.3875 - PNC Bank Arts Center EMS-1 - PL 192.8 Hz

SCANdal is WISE. SCANdal always speaks the truth and from the heart. SCANdal is RIGHT. Thank you for putting forward the distinctly minority view that address the issues at hand - both here and elsewhere. The message, of course, will be ignored again and "my dog ate it" excuses will follow and then the fan club will, predictably, react. The last post is, actually, complete and lucidly stated. Why the hell didn't spend the time to do this the first time? There may yet be hope - albiet temporarily - or until the fan club protests. Let the righteous indignation begin!

I too was going to ask exactly what Channels 9, 10, and 11 are exactly and reiterate my prior statements with regard to posting, however I refrained due to the fact that I probably would have been tarred and feathered for doing so.

Some people use constructive criticism as a learning tool, other choose to ignore it, and the rest just don't get it, period. Only the future will tell which one is applicable here.

just another word of advice to all my fellow scanner enthusiasts..... dont let your blood pressure rise, dont freak out and just calmly sit back and say to your self "it's alll just ONEs and ZEROs"

I know some people get on others nerves, but hey it's the frickin' INTERWEB take it with a grain of salt.

just my 2 cents
