Damn it, Joe, I would have thought by now that you would have gotten the hint. But, has evidenced above, apparently not. I like you, I see potential in you; but, it the risk of coming off looking like an a-hole...I am going to take a moment and spell some things out in no uncertain terms.
Click here for what I've got in my channels 9, 10, and 11.
http://www.twcnyc.com/downloads/chlineupMV.pdf Somehow, I get the sense that you aren't talking about WWOR, WFUT, and WPIX. What are you talking about? Channels 9, 10, and 11 in your personal scanner? Listen, I know to some I am going to come off looking like a jerk off, but what I am about to say needs to be said once in a while, and you are not the only one that needs to hear this advise; so I am going to do this publically in the hope that some of the other youngsters here will see themselves in what I am about to say and take some notes...
i) READING IS FUNDAMENTAL. What the hell is the big rush to get a post up? ? ? Or is your motivation simply to drive your count higher? If you are going to post an answer, take a moment to read the question first. Read it again. Does this sound familair at all? Are teachers in your college always telling you to do the same thing? Mine did. There's a reason why. mondaro, asked for FREQUENCIES. Using the example above, do you know the FREQUENCY for channel 9? How about sharing it with us. Throw in a PL/DPL, if you know it. Do the same thing for Channel 10. And 11. You get what I am talking about, right?
2) DETAILS. What are you hearing on Channel 9? The pages/dispatches? Are they then switching to Channel 10 for Operations? Then going to 11 for talkaround? Again, what is the rush? I am not looking for you to write a college blue book for an answer, and lord knows my spelling can suck (although I try to post a readable answer). Have you listened in to "channel 9, 10, and 11" for a bit? Share with us what you are hearing; a little color-commentary, if you will - it makes boring lists of frequencies interesting. Slow down a little. It's okay for a post to go unanswered for a day, a week, a month, or however long it takes for someone to see it, research it, and post a full, complete, correct answer. If it were my post I'd rather wait a couple of days and get the right answer then see a reply 17 minutes later that leaves me asking even more questions and not answering any.
C) This is directed to those who I know are going to feel the urgent need to rise up in defense of piss-poor quality posting. Take a deep breath, exhale, and don't waste everybody's bandwidth with adding more posts to this thread and steering it away from the two basic questions that got asked. PM me with whatever you think might be a VALID reason for posting half-assed, incomplete answers to questions. If, in the off chance, that you can come up with one, I will admit that, yes, I was wrong and it is okay to take up the all our fellow member's time here to scroll past posts that mean nothing. Otherwise, I'll delete your PM and save the board, and the internet, valuable bandwidth for more useful things.
