Can this antenna be used as a base antenna ? I have this antenna in my garage just sitting not doing anything it's to big for my vehicle and hits the garage door and ceilling. I guess I could sell it if I don't need it ! Anyone that could give me some advice would be helpful ! Thanks so much !

I would think so, mount it high on a metal surface.

One of the best scanner antennas ever made (IMHO). Originally made by Antenna Specialists. You can buy one of those base station converter kits that come with ground radials and just screw your antenna on and then mount it.
