Mont Co - Encrypted?

I haven't used my scanner lately and just had to update it to the newest Montgomery County frequencies. I tried to just listen to NW and SW police dispatch. I see NW (1712) stop on the scanner but I don't receive anything. Is Montgomery County encrypting more stuff lately?

When trying to listen to police dispatch it seems much more quieter. Either that or I need to tweek my settings.

I should have done a search of the forums first. I'm using an old Radio Shack Pro 96. It looks like I need to do a software update for the rebanding.

Montco Reband Pro 96

I can't hear anything And I have done the reband living in the upper bucks / upper montco area

You may need to do a physical adjustment inside the scanner. I've had to do it on mine. Mike at the Radio Shack on Aramingo Ave in Philly also knows how to do it and has had some success with it. Try contacting him, he might be able to help you.

I never changed the frequenies just rebanded

Um, rebanding IS changing frequencies. In this case all frequencies used on the trunked systeme (and even the conventional ones) moved down exactly 15 MHz

Everything works on my pro 96 after I. Programed the rebanded freqs. Maybe you entered them wrong ?
