Montco Fire Freq

I have some freq in my radioshack PRO 163.I have some freqs Montco fire east dispatch is in my scanner but it does not pick up good.I have montco fire region 5 in my scanner but it does not pick up.Then i can on pick up some of 800 mhz like some mo channel to.I have my scanner next to the window but it still does not pick good.Is it something with my antenna or something with the placement of scanner? I have antenna that came with scanner.Should I need a different antenna or keep the same one? I need some help.

Depends on where you are...if you are in the western end of the county you should pick up both East and West systems without any trouble...if you're in the East...good luck p/u the West. If you are scanning conventional freqs then it all depends on where you are as well. A band specific antenna may do the trick...it may not.

I live in the vally forge area an i still cannot pick it up.I can pick up the west good.I can not pick up region 5 that the only thing.
