Im planning to roam through the Montgomery and Bucks county region in the next couple of months and was wondering if their TRS public safety systems still had analog traffic on them or if its all APCO 25 now? I recently visited Chester county and the Allentown areas but was unable to verify any analog traffic on the systems. Also, are there any fire repeaters or other interesting repeaters in the region to listen to? Thank you amigos!

Lots of analog stuff going on...Use the frequs listed on this site and you should be fine. Montgomery County is in the early stages of a change over to digital so the analog stuff is all active...Bucks has been on digital for some time but still simulcasts on analog. Bucks is dispatching fire & ems on 155.55 (no PL) as well as on the oringinal low band frequ (46.10, PL123.0).
Enjoy!!

Bristol Bucks County digital Zone 1 is rebroadcast on analog 465.5125 MHz at very low power. You must be in or close to Bristol area to receive it, but it is analog public safety.
I wish digital Zone 4 was rebroadcast in analog.

Thanks a lot Whackerboy and Rich250,that really helps me alot. Im planning to do some mountaintop DXing from Reading,Allentown and possibly from the Appalachian Trail. Several years ago I used to listen to the nightly shootouts in North Philly on Phillys 460Mhz PD repeaters from the woods near the Pagoda on the hill above Reading! I even found a high spot near Jennersville in Chester county where I could hear both the Philly and the Baltimore 460 repeaters! Maybe some day when the price of digital scanners comes down, that thrill can be had again. Thanks again!!!!
