FYI -- Just noticed that MoCo has switched the control channel on the new Phase II system to 853.8625, which is one of the alternates listed in Radio Reference.

Primary and alternate cchs should always be programmed - it has no cost in resources, and makes the receiver more reliable.

There are some fire talkgroups on the system that are strapped to FDMA modulation which the HP1 should be able to monitor; most of the talkgroups in zone 7A. Many other talkgroups are set for dynamic modulation, so on the odd occasion that an FDMA subscriber is affiliated the HP1 will hear them also, but most of the time they won't be heard. There are some talkgroups that are strapped to TDMA modulation so the HP1 will never hear them.

So a mixed bag.
