Hey, Lindsay, why do you have the Montgomery County Texas EDACs system as Pro-Voice regular, is it because it can be upgraded to Pro-Voice? Nobody uses Pro-Voice that i know of now.

I am not Lindsay, but since Lindsay isn't living in the Houston area (and never did) I guess I can answer the question just as well. The system was designed to be ProVoice. It is already ProVoice capable; however, ProVoice radios cost more than standard radios, hence the agencies on the system (of which Mongomery County is just one) just didn't go that route. I am somewhat amazed that the Hospital District (the real owner of the system) doesn't use ProVoice on any of thier radios, but maybe it is an economic thing with them also.
