Montgomery FD Thurs. 8/18 about 7pm

Anyone hear about this? I was cominng onto I-270 southbound from Middlebrook Road (just finished my last delivery of the day @ Germantown Square) and almost immediately saw several fire/rescue units northbound. Equipment included a ladder from Cabin John, a rescue unit and a haz-mat unit. Not having a digital capable scanner with me, I wasn't able to tune in. Anything big?

You didn't mention if they were going with lights and siren. Otherwise, it is the time of year for the Montgomery Co Fair where the Fire and Rescue units rotate through public display.

I'm sorry, I incorrectly assumed lights/siren was implied. Yes, they were running /w lights/siren.

Not sure exactly what it was, but I caught some action on 7G. Other units mentioned were from stations 28, 29, and I think 13. Several references were made to testing air samples when they got downwind, but I didn't hear the readings or know what type of gas they were referring too.

This is not a flame, just a friendly request.... In the future, you would be better served leaving the four letter descriptions out of your post. I find them unnecessary, and offensive.

"That had all the Hazmat stuff" or equipment would have been better suited for this board.
