Oh, ok. I guess the Pro-96 can't monitor that kind of system then. I have all of the frequencies listed on the db for the Simulcast programmed in but I'm not hearing anything. I mean, I can see different talkgroups come up but the scanner just blares static instead of any audio coming through. So I'm guessing something isn't being tracked right.

Okay folks, we have 2 new talk groups popping up on the Montgomery system. #5602 is a Fire channel (heard Rescue 23 and Engine 21 doing radio checks with dispatch), but I don't know whose FD it is. I don't think it was Prattville because their VHF channel was quiet during radio checks. Montgomerys FD Rescue units are 90, 91, etc.

#5561 is a PD dispatch. They were doing similar radio checks with single digit units, but nothing I could use to ID their location.

Both the PD and FD transmissions lasted about 3-5 minutes, then went silent. Any help in identifying these new groups would be appreciated.

I’ve been listening while I’ve been in Montgomery and even from the apartment in Prattville and so far no dice on those two TGID’s since you posted. Still trying tho.

Update Good News. Montgomery Metro has sent a notification for construction requirements to the FCC on 9/26/2019 for the license WRDF805 file # 0008816084. This file # is pending. What this notification means is Auburn will be on the Montgomery Metro Communications District Very Soon, what this message means is Montgomery Metro has now agreed to put a tower on Auburn Police site. I do not have a timeline when Auburn police and fire will be switching over to the trunking system. More information will follow soon.
