Basically, Verizon's T1 lines went down.

Both Verizon & the people who design these systems never fail to amaze me. T1 circuits can easily be run over Verizon 4G, FIOS or Comcast cable internet connections. I know why they don't want to do this on a permanent basis but why not eliminate the single point of failure by spending a few hundred dollars per site for 4G modems & other required equipment? If they had, no one except the technicians would have noticed that there was a problem. We would be happy to get them set up & avoid this happening again.
