Im taking a trip down to munkyvill this summer and I have a few questions for you good folks.
1. Are you all on the 800trunked motorola apco system? (im kind of new with all this) but if you arent could I pick it up with a 296 with apco digital chip.

2. What eles would you guess recomend for picking up Fire calls.

Hi Wes:

The system is 800mhz and mixed EDACS ProVoice digital and analog, not APCO-25. So, you will be able to pick up the analog talkgroups (like the SO talkgroups), but won't be able to monitor the digital talkgroups.

MFD is all digital, even the dispatch channel. Sometimes, though, you can hear Fire A and even Fire B when for some reason those talkgroups go analog! MPD dispatch is analog, but all other MPD talkgroups are digital.
