Montrose man dies in off road accident
A 45-year-old Montrose man died Sunday when the off-road vehicle he was driving crashed, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to Montrose Memorial Hospital.
Troy Ruggles, of Montrose, was at the wheel at 4:12 p.m. when the accident happened on Spring Creek Road, approximately 168 feet west of Montrose County Road 5885, according to the CSP.
Ruggles may have had a pre-existing medical condition that contributed to the accident, according to the CSP.
