Hi all,

I enjoy "detecting" nearby Highway Patrol vehicles (input frequencies) with my BCT15, but the "law enforcement" 150/800 MHz antenna I'm using is actually a bit too powerful for the job - I'm getting transmissions from too far away. At the same time, CB reception is very, very poor.

If I go with an antenna that targets CB radio, will I lose all of my 800 MHz and 150 MHz? Or, might this only reduce reception in those frequencies just enough to improve the reliability of my "cop detector?" That would be ideal!

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It should work. Won't hurt anything to try! You could also try enabling the attenuator on the frequencies that are too strong.
