Ancom has allot of stuff here and their Arden Hills site is good. I wonder if they have gone total MotoTrbo and dumped any analog LTR from their systems. As soon as I get my Whistler TRX-2 going to start checking systems. I haven't checked, but does Action Radio have any MotoTrbo freqs?. Of course, MOA is all MotoTrbo but fully encrypted though. MRE is transitioning to NXDN, but they have lot's of analog LTR users though so I think their analog LTR sites will be around a little while. I used to have a couple of radios renting a TG on their downtown Mpls site with good coverage. Thanks for finding some frequencies, can't wait to join in to find new systems and mapping existing ones when I get my TRX-2 and hopefully a Uniden also (don't know if a 436 or 536) too!.

I did a little bit more with this today. I have noticed two things so far:

-There seems to be way more CAP (Capacity Plus) than the other flavors of DMR around here. Sure, I have seem a bit of CON, XPT, and plain DMR, but mainly CAP.

-Ancom is the licensee for the majority of the radio traffic.

If people here are interested, I can post some additional details as I find them.

If I recall correctly, Action Radio is Icom and Kenwood, so that will mean Idas/NXDN systems, I would guess.

I have monitored the MOA on their previous two systems, but it just never interested me all that much. If I recall correctly, their first system was 800 Mhz analog trunking. I don't recall if it was Type 1 or Type 2.

The next system went to 400 Mhz and was LTR. I monitored it a few times, but it just never interested me all that much either.

Now that they are encrypted, maybe more people will wish they could monitor them.

It did work a little bit on figuring out the LTR systems, but then I lost interest. That is probably what will happen with DMR, too, but for now it is interesting to learn a bit more about them.

More UHF MOTO TRBO Hits In Metro Area

Update: Apple Valley Public Works is regular DMR. I only heard TS 1 in use. I also sorted these by Color Code. It can be a bit misleading, though, because apparently repeaters in the same system can have different Color Codes.

Very nice post. Keep up the good work, It's really appreciated since the amount of DMR is increasing rapidly in the Twin Cities. Whenever I get my Icon 6121D back up, I was receiving a couple of conventional IDAS frequencies that needed identification. When spring finally sets in, I have to replace a roof antenna that was dedicated to that radio. MotoTrbo and NXDN are the next beasts to tackle!..
