More Site frequencies on ws1080 than ws 1065

why does ez scan software have 12 site frequencies for trunked system and the ws 1065 only have 4 . It was downloaded through Radio Reference . Im guessing im missing some transmissions on the 1065 ? Any Thoughts ??

I suspect your 1065 programming loaded only the 4 control channel frequencies but in EZ Scan you loaded (the default?) all site frequencies.

EZ Scan has an option to import/load only the control channel frequencies - and, IF the information posted is accurate, the control channel frequencies are all you really need.

However, if the information is wrong and/or changes (without notice), installing a subset of site frequencies could result in you hearing nothing from that site (that would be all or nothing - all talkgroups).

so im guessing im better off putting all 12 channels in both and leaving them in there.

Since it's a Motorola system, typically including all site frequencies won't do much harm.

No. Once it has a lock on the control channel, the only thing that will make anything faster is to limit what you are actively scanning.
