No other details as yet. The channel is now silent to scanners (and B'castify), I am trying to find out more. I could guess, but we know how that usually goes...

Ya think the Garlic Festival shooting and all the Broadcastify traffic making it into the news might have helped? MH has had encryption cable radios for awhile now. Someone finally got smart and are using what they paid for.

No idea, but the county-wide Silicon Valley Regional Communications System deal has been in the works (and in progress) for a few years now... MAybe that's working its way south and Gilroy is next?

Looking at the latest minutes posted on the SVRIA.org website, the system is getting close to being done. I remember hearing a while back that "most" law enforcement and "a few" of fire will be encrypted. Sad days ahead...

DB was updated today. Morgan Hill shows all TG's ENC.

This morning it looks like SCCSO has begun patching their control channels into SVRCS. Full encryption.
