I monitor the MIRS system, along with every other trunked/conventional system in NJ. My question is... When I monitor MIRS, I am recieving all the communications just fine but I don't hear the tones go out for either the EMS or FD agencies, but I do pick up all their responding coms. I am thinking that all the towns that are on the MIRS system are dispatched on conventional frequencies for their pagers but they use trunked radios when actually responding. Does anyone have the dispatch or tone out frequencies for EVERY single town dispatched by the COM center?

Correct, the towns are paged out on conventional frequencies then call into service on the TRS.

Frequencies used to page out are:
45.12
45.60
46.42
151.055
460.2875
476.2875

Most of the paging voice messages are multicast over the 476.2875 so listening to that would carry about 90% of the pages.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9000/4.6.0.304 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Thanks a lot Rocket. Last questions, do you know what town corresponds with each frequency? Also do you recommend me adding a pl if there is one? I am trying to listen to the Mendhams and Chesters.

As far as PLs are concerned, I have the following:

45.120 - 173.8
45.600 - csq
46.420 - 131.8
151.055 - 71.9
476.2875 - 71.9

For the Chesters I have FD dispatch on 151.370 (156.7) with 154.085R (192.8) for ops. The Mendhams FD/EMS use tone 114.8 on 45.600.

460.2875? ?

I'm guessing you don't realize there are no pagers for paging on a trunk system?

Paging is always done on conventional frequencies.
