Saw that myself. Wonder since Boonton(Town) is now coming online that will be theres.
Makes sense to join up with township, but theres already a fair amount on that TG.
That’s what I kind of figured. Boonton, Boonton Twp and possibly Mountain Lakes.

Boonton, Boonton Township, and Mountain Lakes will be using it starting January 1st. Police 8 will also be used as a mainstream PD channel, which will include the same towns. Morris Plains PD will also be moving from PD 4 to PD 6 with Randolph, as Boonton and Mountain lakes will be going to PD 8. Automated dispatch as far as the main dispatch channel and the pre alerts on the fire response channels will also begin on this day.

Fire response 8 is live as of today for Boonton and Mountain Lakes, Town of Boonton will be live on this channel 1/1/20

Update to this, Town of Boonton will go live on Fire Response 8 and Police 8 on 12/30/19.
