I didn't know we had one or they even had radios. The state SPCA uses the state 800MHz TRS.

Most towns have their own animal control officer and use their local freq.

There is a County SPCA, i'm not sure what their frequency is though.

They probably use cellphones or perhaps the state TRS... but i'm guessing.

A Google search returned this website:

http://www.morriscountyspca.org/

According to the website they are sworn personnel which means they can arrest you. The chief is/was the Animal Control Officer for Morristown.

I can only guess the UHF is for the MIRS radio and the VHF is for SPEN or to talk to local PD's. I have yet to see a vehicle on the road.

That was an interesting article. Warren County SPCA recently had their charter suspended and the state took over enforcement, citing lake of enforcement on the county SPCA's part. Warren County SPCA used to have a UHF freq., however that license expired some time ago.
