To me it doesn't sound like Morse code. I would suspect either your modem/router or a computer generated noise.
Reminds me of the classic movie “On The Beach”. I will let other search for the title if you want to discover the plot but it involve radio transmission thought to be Morse.

I hear it now on the filtered recording. It's definitely CW but too fast for me. Pretty sure it's not a call sign as the string of characters is too long.

Listened to your recording a dozen times. At the beginning they
send "Net MG7" and then the following doesn't appear to be in
english or in the clear.
Whoever is sending is using a hand key and really has a lousy fist. Reminds
me of the 50's-60's when lots of banana boats were running from central america
to the US. The HF maritime bands were full of signals that are like your recording.
Many old maritime operators on ships had fists like that, but to my knowledge, their
all silent keys now. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Any update on this? Have you tried unplugging/turning off any of the devices I mentioned to see if it goes away?

It’s Morse, but pretty sloppy as noted earlier. I couldn’t make it out, although given time I probably could.

It could very well be, but I'm 1000% positive that something used to be in my house made that exact same noise in the aircraft band. Thinking maybe it was the cable box. But I'm not a ham, so what do I know.

By filtering the audio even more, you can see a pretty clear visual of the different noises.
I tend to lean towards KevinC's idea that it's just noise that closely resembles CW. cwodd.png

Actually I did unplug things and it was still there. But now, it's gone. So based on that, how long it went on for (many many hours), and other people's observations here, I'm going to assume it was some electronic device making random sized and spaced bursts of RFI that sounded like Morse to someone who's been a ham for a long time, but the source was a neighbors house instead of my own. Radio pirates sending coded CW using an old aircraft radio wouldve been more fun, but oh well 😉Thanks for everyone's help.

Well I'll be damned......now the question is how, as it is obviously not just random noise. Also an FAA violation. Interesting.

Unless it is very very local to him and falls under the levels covered by Part 15. (i.e. can't pick it up more than say 100 feet from the house)
