When do you think more calls go on then not? Any certain time of the day, I want to know what time is would be most interesting to listen. Thanks

Friday & Saturday nights and after athletic events, especially if you have a university or pro team. Okla. State University is in my hometown, pregame can be interesting, listening to the traffic controland other activities. Post-game, particularly after a big win, the bars get quite active.

In addition to the above, any evening with a full moon. No one seems to be able to explain it, but almost everyone (especially EMS/ER personnel) really don't look forward to full moon evenings and nights. :?
Add to that:
Any magor storm.
Any natural disaster.
ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD- Almost any night during the summer time in larger towns/cities. School out, teens on the loose, attitudes go down as temps go up... You know the calls double during the summer.

Poor cars slide off the road and into jersey barriers. During an icestorm or foggy weather. I hear lots of calls during a special event like the Presidential Inaguration or Forth of July. Fortunately, most accidents on the Forth of July were minor.In reference to the post by nexus.
When I was a DJ I had a guy call in (drunk obviously) and was requesting that "bathroom on the right song". Took me and the PD about 30 minutes to figure out he wanted "Bad Moon rising". He was refering to the "there's a bad moon on the rise".

A little "unfriendly" competition to see who has the worst Metro area. How many foot pursuits and vehicle pursuits do you get from noon Friday to noon Sunday. You have to pick 1 area, whether it's a County or just a Metro area. You make the decision. It could even be based on population. BUT, just a thought.
Here in Sacramento, it'd be about 20-30 foot pursuits (rough estimate) and 4 or 5 vehicle pursuits...again, rough estimate. We have about 1.5 million people in the Sac Metro area. SO, divide or multiply to equal out the population.
Actually, should probably be a tavern idea...oh well.

In Mississippi in the area I mainly monitor.....
Brookhaven, MS- Every single time a LEA appears to check out iether a fight, or suspicsious event... there IS a chase.... Out in the County- Lincoln County, MS.... Half of the rednecks, drunks, and anyone tht thinks they are Mario Andretti.... ARE going to run... especially on Highway 84 West Bound! And every once in a while,... MHP will have a good run up I-55 at around 80-120 MPH. *EDIT: Man I can't wait to get a weekend feed going online! Got the latest Winamp.... got the plugins.... just need to get a patch cord to run from headphone out to line in.*
And I will not even mention the other car/foot chase capitol of the world- South Carolina... It was a daily thing there in the lowcountry for a chase by any of the multiple agencies down there. It was like the South's version of L.A.

Holland is near the interchange of I-475 and I-80. I would imagine that one can hear radio traffic related to traffic stops and traffic accidents. Holland is about 10 miles southwest of Toledo and near the Maumee river. There might be some marine radio traffic.There is an Art Museum, zoo and Botanical Garden in Toledo.

Here in Nashville there aren't many car persuits anymore due to our new Chief making new policy. The shift supervisors aren't willing to answer to any crash so the persuit is usually called off before it gets started. I always said the new Chief won't let our Men and Women in Blue do their job. The helo is too slow to get ready in time and getting the perpetrators license? Well, that don't work either 'cause the car is usually stolen. Criminal gets away to harm another day. If the chases do last it usually ends in a foot persuit, kinda. Now that several officers have the new "toy" of the taser, they just shock the guy before the foot persuit gets going. As for the original question the best action here is around rush hour morning or night. Why do you think the truckers call it "Crashville".
