Mot 800 Custom Band Plan in V3

Before attempting to put the firmware into my 996. Just want to be sure I understand how this works.
Am I right that "plan 1" is for systems were rebanding has taken place? And, is "plan 2" for systems that have remained unchanged?
If this has already been answered could someone direct me to the approiprate thread.
My concern is were rebanding is not an issue in Nova Scotia, yet, is whether I'll lose my control channel only mode? Which I use with the Nova Scotia Trunk Mobile Radio System(NSTMR), as well as in PEI with
their Mot type 1 system.

There isn't any such custom band setting as "plan 1" or "plan 2" in the scanner either before or after going to V3.

For rebanded system, you enter the rebanded band plan. For others, you pick "Standard" or "Splinter".

Thanks, I must have misread the last page in the firmware notes.
Just to be clear in my mind;it won't affect anything I currently using the control channel for?
